Christopher Smith comes to us from the University of Maryland, University College Networking and Cybersecurity program fresh off of five years as a stay-at-home father of two. Christopher brings a multitude of skills to the table as the result of a widely varied background which is highlighted by a 17 year career in the event planning and hospitality industry, the last six of which were spent as either a sous or head chef. He has vast experience in the planning and execution of events and fundraisers, has served as the face of companies at trade shows and conventions, provides a strong backbone as support staff, and very much looks forward to utilizing these skills on behalf of SAI. In addition, Christopher working towards the completion of a BS in Computer Networking and Security in 2018, which has served to expand his interest in, and aptitude with, computer hardware, software, and providing network support. He has been a frequent volunteer at his daughter’s schools over the years and has been providing network support to a Baltimore parochial elementary/middle school for over a decade. As well as having two amazing children, Chris lives with his wife of 9 years, a 14-year veteran of the Johns Hopkins oncology and breast cancer programs currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Social Work.

Christopher will be meshing his diverse experiences into an employee that SAI can count on to handle any situation or request thrown at him. He’ll also be providing administrative support to a number of members of our staff, as well as assisting in bookkeeping and financial services.
