Saving A Generation

Saving A Generation is a partnership between Swaziland Nazarene Health Institutions (SNHI) – which includes RFM Hospital, 17 clinics and Nursing College, Nazarene HIV/AIDS Task Force, Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, Swaziland National Board of the Church of the Nazarene, New Hope Center, ACTS II Clinic, and Servant Forge. Accomplishments to date include:

  • Renovated 5 clinics and built or renovated nurses housing
  • Water at all Nazarene Clinics
  • Donated millions in medicines, medical equipment and medical services to SNHI
  • Trained 140 Home-Based Care Supporters
  • Expanded Home-Based Care Task Force from 1 to 4 regions
  • Developed Pediatric Standard Treatment Book

Community Linkages Project

Community Linkages Project is a five year project to decentralize AntiRetroviral Treatment and TB care and treatment by mobilizing community assets and infrastructure to improve adherence and retention in treatment. Accomplishments to date include:

  • 9 clinics built?, with 9 community outreach coordinators, 225 home visitors, 65% return of defaulters to treatment
  • 2,000 new patients referred for treatment
  • Community Advisory Groups formed to address health hotspots
  •  “Treatment as Prevention” mobilization strategy implemented

 The Swaziland Partnership

The Swaziland Partnership is a cooperative effort between the Swaziland Church of the Nazarene, Swaziland Nazarene Health Institutions, NCM Africa, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc., Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, and Southern Nazarene University. The Partnership’s goal is to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS in Swaziland through the development of key spiritual, compassionate and educational resources. Visit project website
